Kerry Hoffman comes to Sunwest having worked with oil and gas service companies supplying proppant sand and fluids for natural gas and oil drilling. He has previously worked with various western mines in supplying steam and coking coal to industrial and municipal customers and brokers.
Mr. Hoffman has also been responsible for the import and export of mineral and stone products related the building and construction industry. Clients included, MGM, Intel, Nike, Perini Building, Bomel, Willamette Industries, as well as many other fortune 500 companies. This included goods and services from Europe, South America, China, India and Mexico in container shipments.
Earlier, Mr Hoffman was a consultant and supplier of multiple products to Air Force installations in Oregon, Washington, Western Canada and Alaska.
Graduated from high school in 1965 and attended college at Oregon State University for one year before going into the military. Inducted in 1967 and honorably discharged in 1969. Served in the Army with the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) for 18 months in Vietnam as a door gunner in Huey gunships and Hughes Scout helicopters. Awarded Bronze Star, Air Medal with 21 Clusters, Army Commendation Medal, and Vietnam Service Metal.
