3 Questions To Ask A Business Broker

When you have decided to sell your business, and you are deciding on a Business Broker, there are 3 questions you must ask that Business Broker:

1. Do You Co-Broker?

Meaning, are they going to pass on your Executive Summary information to other Business Brokers they know. They should answer with a resounding "YES!" Anything less is unacceptable. Next question is,

2. How many co-brokers are you aligned with?

The answer should be in the hundreds. Next Question:

3. How fast will be you get information out to these co-brokers?

The answer should be within two weeks, if not 48 hours.

As a Seller, you want is hundreds of brokers working on your behalf, not just one or a few. Each Broker generally has a certain number of qualified Buyers in their hip pocket. If you have hundreds of Brokers working on your behalf, the possible Buyer scenarios multiply exponentially on your behalf.

Ultimately you want to find the Best Buyer for your situation. The Co-broker (and their Buyer) may be somebody in Florida, or New York. You want ALL of these brokers to know about your business.
